Description:The primary focus of this role is the provision of high level advice about the company’s proprietary systems, their configuration, as well as processes and workflow to support the customer’s business objectives. This involves conducting pre installation workshops, configuring systems, application training and go live support, as well as delivering a range of other professional consultation services. The Senior Consultants will work with other members of the project team to deliver high quality outcomes in both new system implementations and a range of other billable services.
Duties:The Ideal candidate will be able to:

1. Join teams for specific projects as required by the Team Lead in conjunction with the Project Managers.

2. Assist the Team Lead to scope billable service options to meet customer requirements that fall outside their maintenance agreements.

3. Deliver billable services including consultancy and training as required

4. Serve as a liaison between the customer and other departments within the company until the purchased services have been delivered


Subsidiary Duties

1. Some travel requirement.

2. To provide 2nd level support for the help desk and case management for specific client related matters as required.

3. To provide in house training at the request of the Training Team Leader.

4. To provide product knowledge and expertise to staff across the organization as required.
Qualifications:1. Recognised librarian qualifications.

2. 3+ years library experience.

3. Ability to communicate effectively with different personalities and build strong relationships with co-workers, management and customers.

4. Ability to maintain a consistently positive, productive and professional attitude during stressful situations; exercise initiative and judgment in order to solve any work problems.


Desirable

1. Understanding of project methodology and previous participation in project teams well regarded.

2. Expertise in configuring and trouble-shooting library management systems, in particular Symphony and / or Horizon in a customer, supplier or related environment.
